CS Lewis on the Presence of God

CS Lewis: ”The Presence of God is the most real thing we ever encounter. If we are to have an appropriate image of God's presence, we should envision God's Presence as something heavier than matter. It is radiant like gold and heavy like lead and molten like lava. God's Presence within us gives us radiance and substance of being.”

R Richardson: "To us who live in the modern world, the spiritual world is vague, mystical, and insubstantial. The real world is the world of the senses, of physical and material reality. If we can't see it or touch it or taste it or hear it or smell it, it must not be real, we think."

That's why we need to practice God's presence and use our imaginations to actualize what is anyway more real that the matter or the feeling produced right now in our brain.
