I've got an email from Floyd McClung in which he spoke about the worth of risk taking:
Here's why he says that in a world saturated with self preservation, a follower of Jesus would want to be a constant risk taker:
Here is what Floyd learned about risk taking from life of Caleb in Numbers 13:
- Risk takers hear from God and go for it.
- Risk takers get more than they bargain for.
- Risk takers get no guarantees it will be easy.
- Risk taking destroys all confidence in human strategy or models.
As my friend Jim Y. says, "Many want to see a great harvest, but they don't have the work ethic or the risk taking spirit to see it happen".
What is my next risk to take for God?
